Church of St. Michael the Archangel – Lisciano – Fraction of Ascoli Piceno

We want to describe, through the beauty of the images contained in these small churches of the fractions. We took as the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, located in the hamlet of Lisciano – Ascoli Piceno because in this village was born the Pope Nicholas IV. As you will see from one of the photographs, in 1989 the liscianesi placed a plaque on the church, on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the elevation of the same Supreme Pontiff.

Nicholas IV

Nicholas IV , born Girolamo Masci ( Lisciano – AP , Sept. 30, 1227 – Rome , 4 April 1292 ) , 191º was the Pope of the Catholic Church since the death in 1288 and the first pontiff belonging Franciscan Order .
